Forum based game?

I just thought up the idea of making a forum based game, it would be kind of like D & D just over forums and changing alot of the rules, Your characters stats would be randomized depending on class and such and also you could design your character with photoshop.

Tell me what you think and I'll try to get and entire outline of how the game would work.
